Take a deep dive into the EDGE platform to see how precast detailing and production can be optimized and automated. We will first discover how EDGE for Revit can be used in conjunction with Autodesk Revit to make intense precast detailing simple and model based. This will show the EDGE for Revit solution creating models at an LOD of 400 to make the detailing process simpler. We will then learn how the EDGE model can be used to optimize and automate downstream processes of precast production including enterprise resource planning integration using EDGE^ERP, paperless production workflows using EDGE^Cloud mobile application, and production automation workflows using EDGE^CAM.

Presenters:

Jordan Watkins, P.E.: Jordan is the CEO of PTAC Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer with extensive experience in structural design, detailing, and project management of precast/prestressed concrete structures. He is an acting team leader for working projects. Currently responsible for stability and component design as well as three dimensional modeling of precast/prestressed concrete structures. He is also the manager of the software development branch of PTAC Engineering and the branch manager of the Daphne, AL office.

Alyssa Roberson: Alyssa Roberson is the Director of Go-To-Market Strategy at PTAC Engineering. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Alabama. She has extensive experience in software testing and using Revit for three-dimensional modeling. She is currently responsible for managing the quality assurance department, maintaining the training program for EDGE, providing customer support, and developing EDGE’s go-to-market strategy.
